S4000C Intelligent Sensor for Combustible Gas Monitoring
The Model S4000C is a microprocessor-based intelligent transmitter designed for use with our very reliable catalytic bead sensors. The unit features one person calibration and can virtually self-calibrate by activating a magnetic switch and applying gas. It is designed to monitor combustible gases and vapors within the lower explosive limit (LEL) and provide status indication and alarm outputs. The S4000C provides many benefits for combustible gas detection.

The S4000C features long distance remote mounting, dual redundant MODBUS communications, 8 amp relays, three-digit display, and 4-20mA output. All of the electronics are contained within an explosion-proof housing so that sensor information can be processed at the sensor site. The unit displays gas concentrations up to 120% LEL, fault codes for troubleshooting and prompts when calibration is needed. It provides complete status to the Control Room. The S4000C is also backwards compatible with our S104/S106A smart sensors so you can easily upgrade your installed system without having to re-wire. The S4000C simplifies operation and maintenance and reduces downtime by providing remaining sensor life indication.
